Upper School Course time changes and dates
The dates for both PSAT/SAT English & Reading Prep and PSAT/SAT Math Prep have changed to June 24th-July 5th (no class on Thursday July 4th)
The dates for the Government/Economics class will be June 3rd - July 12th and will meet from 9:00a-1:00p
Volleyball Camps Added
Lil’ Spartan Volleyball Camp Open to 1st – 6th graders JUNE 17th & 18th $50
This camp is a friendly introduction to the sport of volleyball for those youngsters interested in learning how to play. Camp will focus on the basics such as how to rotate through the positions, the names of the positions and the skills as well as how to perform the basic skills such as passing, setting and hitting. In Session 2 there will also be focus on serving. The main goal of this camp is to allow the campers to experience the sport of volleyball while having as much fun as possible! Camp is run by WCS Head Varsity Volleyball Coach Destiny Clark. The schedule will be the same for both days.
7000 Session 1 (1st-3rd graders): 12-2pm, MS South gym
7010 Session 2 (4th-6th graders): 2-4pm, MS South gym
Volleyball Position Camps Open to 7th – 12th graders JUNE 19th – 21st $25/session
At these one-day camps the camper will receive specific skill instruction, evaluation and practice for the chosen position. Camp is run by WCS Head Coach Destiny Clark but guest coaches will include former Wichita State volleyball players and others. This is a great opportunity to try new positions and get detailed, hands-on instruction. Come to just one or come to all three!
*Those attending the setting camp will be asked to attend the hitting camp the following day but do NOT have to pay a second time (However, they will need to understand that the attention of the coaches will be on the hitters during that session).
